Yes. We provide full-day care during winter break, spring break, teacher work days, and all summer long through our Kamp Kaleidoscope summer camp. We are closed only on major holidays: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, and Christmas Day.
We are located at 9244 39th Avenue in Kenosha, WI 53142 (Village of Pleasant Prairie). Our center is easily accessible from Highway 31, Highway 50, and I-94. We serve families from Kenosha, Pleasant Prairie, Somers, Bristol, Paddock Lake, and Salem Lakes.

You’ll need to complete an enrollment application, provide your child’s immunization records, list emergency contacts and authorized pickup persons, share any allergy or dietary information, and pay the one-time registration fee.

Programs

Each classroom builds on the previous year’s learning. The Twiddle Bug Room introduces colors and shapes. The Elmo Room adds counting, Spanish, and name recognition. The Zoe Room covers letter recognition A-Z and counting to 31. The Bert Room prepares children for kindergarten with reading readiness, counting to 100, and basic math. Curriculum
Yes. We introduce American Sign Language (ASL) in our younger classrooms to support communication before verbal skills are fully developed. Children learn signs for common words and phrases, which reduces frustration and builds vocabulary. ASL continues in older classrooms as well.
Pre-K graduates from Kiddie Kare A’Kademie count to 100, write their first and last name, recognize all 26 letters and sounds, perform basic addition and subtraction, know colors and shapes in English and Spanish, and demonstrate strong social skills. Yes. Each classroom has access to iPads loaded with educational apps. Technology use is supervised and age-appropriate, used as a supplement to hands-on learning rather than a replacement. Screen time is limited and always educational.
Yes. Every classroom at Kiddie Kare A’Kademie includes Spanish instruction. Children learn colors, numbers, shapes, greetings, and simple phrases in Spanish starting in the youngest classrooms. By Pre-K, children know numbers 1-20, colors, shapes, days of the week, and family vocabulary in Spanish.
Kiddie Kare A’Kademie uses a proprietary curriculum refined over 35 years that combines play-based learning with real academics. Subjects include literacy, math, Spanish, American Sign Language, science, and character development. Each classroom builds on the previous year’s learning.
Meals, Nutrition, and Health
Yes. Parents pack a nut-free lunch for children who attend during the midday hours. Lunches do not need heating. We refrigerate all lunches until mealtime. Please do not include any peanuts, tree nuts, or nut-based products.
Breakfast at Kiddie Kare A’Kademie includes options like cereal, toast, fruit, and milk. Breakfast is served every morning and is included in tuition. Children who arrive early for before-school care eat breakfast before the school bus departs.

After 6 months of enrollment, families receive vacation and sick day credits. A child enrolled 5 days per week receives 5 vacation days and 3 sick days per year. Credits are prorated for part-time schedules. These days provide tuition credit when your child is absent.
Yes. Kiddie Kare A’Kademie accepts Wisconsin Shares (childcare subsidy). Contact your local county office to determine your eligibility, then call us at 262-705-2400 to complete enrollment at our Kenosha center.
Yes. Active military, police, and fire department families receive $10 off per week at Kiddie Kare A’Kademie. One discount per family. This discount applies to Kenosha-area first responders and service members.

Safety and Security
Yes. We conduct regular fire drills and severe weather drills at our Kenosha center. All staff have written emergency procedures, and we keep emergency contact information on file for every child. First aid supplies are readily available in every classroom.
Children with a fever of 101 degrees F or higher, vomiting, diarrhea, or contagious illness must stay home. Children must be symptom-free for 24 hours without medication before returning to Kiddie Kare A’Kademie. This policy protects every child and staff member at our center.
Yes. Kiddie Kare A’Kademie has two fully fenced outdoor play areas with age-appropriate playground equipment that is regularly inspected. Staff supervise children at all times during outdoor play.
