The Teacher of the Month for August at Kiddie Kare A’Kademie is Amy Gordon. Ms. Amy has been a popular and successful teacher at Kiddie Kare since 2010 and has been employed in childcare and teaching for 25 years in total.
A graduate of Christian Life High School, Ms. Amy got her formal education at Gateway Technical College, where she received training in all classes required to be certified as a Lead Teacher in Early Childhood Education.
Known for her quick wit and her loving devotion to the children in her classes, Ms. Amy loves children and especially loves watching them learn and grow. “I enjoy partnering with parents to help teach their little ones,” she said. “I feel honored to provide a helping hand in raising their children.”
She said it is rewarding to help the children succeed. “I love seeing the children reach milestones or accomplish a goal they’ve been working toward. I love seeing pictures and hearing stories from parents about their child using things that I have taught them.”
Ms. Amy strives to have her students tell their parents she is “loving, kind, silly, playful – and their favorite teacher!”
She was attracted to Kiddie Kare A’Kademie because she sensed that the children would be surrounded there by people who really care about them. “Kiddie Kare has dedicated, loving teachers who have been there for years,” she said. “Kiddie Kare provides a great quality educational experience at a reasonable cost and because it is a relatively small center, the relationships between the students and the teachers are more personal.”
