Ms. Karen Tejes-Selby, known as “Ms. Karen” to Kiddie Kare A’Kademie students, is no exception. Her devotion to the students in her care and her desire to see them succeed makes her an obvious choice for Teacher of the Month for July.
Ms. Karen has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Education. Prior to coming to Kiddie Kare in 2012, she spent six and a half years as a middle school teacher. “I wanted to stay in education, but wanted to work with children at the start of their educational journey.” Ms. Karen also said that she finds it rewarding when she sees children in her class reaching educational milestones in their young lives.

Ms. Karen credits Kiddie Kare’s passionate staff for the center’s successful outcomes. As the lead teacher in the Twiddle Bug Room for one and two year olds, Ms. Karen loves the friendly and supportive nature of Kiddie Kare A’Kademie family. The school recently expanded its hours to accommodate working parents, opening now at 5:30 a.m. Kiddie Kare is now accepting enrollment for the summer and the upcoming academic year.
